Background:

Client considers development and construction of four small hydro power plants on Chon-Kemin river in Chui oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Client is looking to apply for a renewable energy feed-in tariff to be granted by the Kyrgyz regulatory authorities. In addition, the Client is seeking to attract a loan from IFIs to finance a portion of the Project costs.

Our contribution:

► ESIA report compliant with the national construction regulation and approval process by the authorities and EBRD’s Environmental and Social Policy;
► Identifying potential environmental and social impacts to be investigated and reported in the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA);
