K.S. Solutions together with Al-Amr Group for Consulting Engineering, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have successfully launched Irrigated Agriculture Development Project – Design Review, Tendering and Construction Supervision in Issyk-Kul and Naryn Regions.

Project background

The Kyrgyz Republic applied for financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Saudi Fund for Development toward the cost of the Irrigated Agriculture Development in Issyk-Kul and Naryn Regions Project intending to apply part of proceeds to finance payments under contract for consultants to assist the Project Executing Agency – State Agency of Water Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic during the project implementation for project detailed engineering design review, development of bidding documentation, assistance in procurement and supervision of construction of works, as well as overall support to the project Executing Agency in project management.

The project aims to improve the living standards of the rural population through sustainable agricultural development and water management with adaptation to climate change, to increase economic returns in the value chain for rural residents by expanding integration and market links.
